Abstract
Graduate unemployment in Uganda is driven by fragmented job networks and limited access to employment opportunities. To address this, Job Connect was developed as a web-based platform that connects graduates with employers, enabling job applications, profile management, vacancy posting, and recruitment administration. Built using HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, the system provides a secure, responsive, and user-friendly experience. Testing showed improved access to job opportunities and efficient candidate recruitment. Despite challenges such as internet dependency and limited digital awareness, the platform demonstrated strong potential to enhance employment accessibility in Uganda. Future improvements include AI-based job matching, SMS notifications, and multilingual support to increase inclusivity and effectiveness.
