Item Job Connect(Unpublished, 2025-07-18) Serwanja Husaifah ...[et al]Graduate unemployment in Uganda is driven by fragmented job networks and limited access to employment opportunities. To address this, Job Connect was developed as a web-based platform that connects graduates with employers, enabling job applications, profile management, vacancy posting, and recruitment administration. Built using HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL, the system provides a secure, responsive, and user-friendly experience. Testing showed improved access to job opportunities and efficient candidate recruitment. Despite challenges such as internet dependency and limited digital awareness, the platform demonstrated strong potential to enhance employment accessibility in Uganda. Future improvements include AI-based job matching, SMS notifications, and multilingual support to increase inclusivity and effectiveness.Item Web-Based Road Car Town Services(Unpublished, 2025-07-16) Kyomugisha Flavia ... [et al]The rapid growth of vehicles in Uganda has led to increased traffic incidents, breakdowns, and parking violations, creating a need for efficient towing services. This project designed and implemented a Road Car Tow Service System to improve roadside assistance, vehicle recovery, and towing operations through technology. The system features mobile and web-based platforms for service requests and real-time tracking, GPS integration for accurate location detection and route optimization, categorized towing services, digital payment options, and a network connecting drivers with verified tow operators. It also includes data analytics tools for monitoring service demand, response times, and vehicle breakdown trends. Designed to address Uganda’s challenges such as limited infrastructure, inconsistent network connectivity, and economic constraints, the system adopts a phased deployment beginning in Kampala and expanding nationwide. The solution aims to enhance road safety, improve service efficiency, reduce response times, and create employment opportunities, contributing to a more reliable and sustainable transportation sector in Uganda.
