Gas Leak detection system
(Unpublished, 2024-09-17) UICT; Burusya, Ezra [et ...al]
The proposed project aims to develop an advanced gas leak detection system utilizing cutting-edge sensor technology and Internet of Things (IoT) integration. This system will employ highly sensitive sensors capable of detecting low concentrations of combustible gases i.e. liquefied petroleum gas. These sensors will be connected to a central processing unit for continuous data analysis and a GSM module and buzzer for triggering alerts when gas levels exceed safety thresholds along side real time monitoring. The suppressor fan is a reversed polarity fan that will suck the gas from the affected environment before it causes harm. The system's modular design ensures ease of integration with existing safety infrastructure and scalability for larger deployments. By enhancing early detection capabilities, this gas leak detection system aims to significantly mitigate the risks associated with gas leaks, ensuring the safety and security of individuals and properties.

Maze Bag
(Unpublished, 2024-09-18) UICT; MUSANA,SIMON PETER LUBEGA [et...al]
This research project report is intended to show how we developed a maze bag which is an electronically and biometrically controlled safe box for transit of goods. The maze bag uses tracking and monitoring system to track location of the goods in the bag, two security mechanisms which include finger print scan and PIN, Lastly an SMS system. The second chapter contains what different scholars have done as far as safe delivery is concerned, different problems they face, discuss their vulnerabilities incurred, criticize some of the similar systems strengths and weakness, and lastly make a review on which components we used. The third chapter is about how we came up with the prototype, collected different information and citations.

Passenger Monitoring System for Public Transport
(Unpublished, 2024-08-18) UICT; Saturday, Chrispus
The Passenger Monitoring System for Public Transport aims to improve efficiency and security in public transportation by utilizing modern technology for automated fare collection and passenger tracking. The system integrates RFID technology, GSM modules, weight sensors, and a keypad interface to accurately monitor passenger entries and exits, register fares, and provide real-time updates to transport operators. The RFID tags allow for seamless identification of passengers, while the weight sensors help to track occupancy levels. The GSM module ensures communication with central systems for data reporting and alerts. This project is designed to streamline public transportation management, improve accountability, and reduce fare evasion. It focuses on enhancing the overall public transport experience by providing a secure, automated, and user-friendly system.

Automated Lead Battery Charging Station
(Unpublished, 2022-06-17) UICT; Oleny, Tonny [et al...]
The project is an innovative solution addressing the challenges in existing public battery charging stations for (lead acid batteries) in Uganda by designing automatic battery charging stations for lead acid batteries. Leveraged microcontroller technology (Arduino), the system detects when a battery is fully charged, disconnects it from the charger, notify the user via a notification system (GSM). This efficient and user-friendly approach aims to optimize charging processes, reduce labor, save time, and enhance user experience.
